CS Legal is a young and energetic law firm in Perth Western Australia established in 2001 by Richard Wensley, the principal partner of the firm.
The firm had its beginnings as a property settlement agency known as Conveyancing Services WA Pty Ltd, which was established about 25 years ago. In 1999, Richard took over as the manager and licensee of Conveyancing Services WA Pty Ltd and undertook the daunting task of reengineering the systems and processes of the property settlement work of the settlement agency.
After the successful operation of the settlement agency under his direction, Richard decided it was time to take the business up to the next level.
In 2001, Conveyancing Services WA Pty Ltd was closed and Richard commenced practice as a barrister and solicitor. The firm was set up as a boutique property law firm specialising in the delivery of property settlement services and related legal advice.
In that way Richard was not only able to offer clients the services of a settlement ageny but also legal advice on all issues and problems arising out of the settlements work. This distinguished and set the firm apart from settlement agencies which are prevented by legislation from giving legal advice.
In 2002, Narinder Jessy joined the firm and with Richard set about the task of expanding and developing the firm's legal services and capabilities. Their strategy was and still is to develop and expand into areas of work related to the firm's core competence in property law.
The strategy has resulted in the firms expansion into the following areas:
- real estate mortgages;
- drafting and advice on all form of agreements and documentation in real estate transactions;
- business acquisitions and sales;
- commercial property leases;
- commercial drafting and advice;
- wills, probate and estate administration;
- debt recovery actions.
Being a service provider, the management strategy is designed with the customer or client in mind and the need to deliver to them an efficient, competent and friendly service. In order to deliver this level of service, our focus is on the persons delivering the sevices, our most valuable asset, the staff of the firm.
Besides creating an informal and comfortable environment for our staff, there is a significant emphasis on knowledge and its dissemination to ensure high levels of skill.
Knowledge and important developments in law are regularly dissminated to the relevant staff by senior members of the staff and our partners/solicitors.
Our experienced partners, Richard and Narinder, are available at all times to advice and act in matters requiring legal skill and knowledge. Theirs is a can-do approach with an emphasis on commercial realities and quick resolution of any disputes or issues arising out of work undertaken by the firm.
